Canal+ Cyfrowy, a producer and broadcaster of Canal+ and other TV channels as well as the operator of CYFRA+ platform has started a cooperation with Jurek Owsiak's Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Some time ago media informed about the fact that Canal+ Cyfrowy wants to offer its own Internet access. However, according to the latest interviews, it will not happen. Perhaps TP Internet service subscribers will have access to Cyfra+ platform. Currently, both sides keep a conversation on this subject, but it is not known when they will end. more ››

On Monday 8th of June 2009 a sports news channel Orange Sport Info has received a satellite broadcasting license from KRRiT (National Broadcasting Council). Universal Channel has added Seca MediaGuard 4 coding system, which means that it will likely soon join to the offer of a satellite platform CYFRA+. It is not known yet in which package Universal Channel, a company owned by NBC Universal, will be included. CYFRA+ satellite platform returns to the promotion of a subscription fee reduced by 50%. After signing a contract for 18 months client pays for half a year a fee reduced by 50 percent. The discount also includes additional options  - CANAL+ and HBO. The promotion is available at selected points of sale for a few days but it is not officially promoted by the operator. more ››

Since July 2009 CYFRA+ will permanently reduce the price of its VOD service HBO Digital. Currently, this price is 12 PLN but this is a promotional price. CYFRA+ subscribers do not have to worry that the operator will return to 15 PLN price. From July CYFRA+ offers a new price list. more ››

On Wednesday the 6th of May at the headquarters of the Polish Television an agreement between TVP and CANAL+ Cyfrowy has been singned. Agreement gives CYFRA+ subscribers access to TVP Sport channel. In addition, the agreement regulates the presence of the main public television channels in CYFRA+: TVP1, TVP2, TVP INFO, TVP Polonia and TVP Kultura. more ››

CYFRA+ swiched off its own HBO HD transmission available on one of the Hot Bird 9 (13E) satellite transponders. Platform subscribers currently use only the transmission from Cyfrowy Polsat on Hot Bird 8 (13E) satellite, where the signal in simulcrypt (Nagravision 3 and Seca MediaGuard 4) was carried out from August last year. more ››

Cyfra+ introduces a new version of the software for Philips HD decoders. With improved software subscribers of Cyfra+ will have access to digital terrestrial television (DVB-T) after connecting the aerial. DVB-T reception is free of charge.
